The bag comes in two sizes. Don't be deceived thinking the smaller bag is "easier" because it is actually more challenging to fit everything in the smaller space. 

The bag may be made either on a domestic or industrial machine. When using a domestic we recommend using water proof canvas for the exterior and water proof rip-stop nylon for the interior. However you may also use regular quilting cotton if you prefer.  If you have an industrial this bag can be made with water proof canvas, vinyl or vegan leather as proved by the pattern testers. You will see some of their bags pictured above. 

Many who see this bag for the first time are heard to say, "Wow! That's a LOT of pockets!" The reason for that is the Large bag holds 3 Slip Pockets and 2 Zipper Pockets on the outside alone.  Inside 5 slip pockets, 2 accordion zipper pockets, 14 credit card slots, 3 elastic loops, and of course the main compartment of the bag. The bag is completed by use of seam binding which also helps the bag have a firmer structure, yet incredibly lightweight to carry.  The Smaller bag has the same 3 slip pockets and two zipper pockets on the outside, 2 accordion zipper pockets, 14 credit card pockets, and 3 elastic loops inside.

Completed Fabric Face Mask from 4girlsdesigns Sewing Pattern

Here is a simple pattern for making dust face masks for age 1 through Large Adult. There are five sizes!

I include photos of each step as well as diagrams and clear instructions as well as full-size pattern pieces. My family, as well as many others, have not acquired face masks, so in order to feel more prepared in case anyone starts coughing I researched and made these. The total tutorial is 14 pages and is available for you to download immediately after checking out. Just go to your purchases section and find the link to download it. You can start right away.

I give suggested fabric and other materials that most people already have around the house. These are inexpensive to make! I advise making at least 3-layers for your masks and up to 5 layers. They are more comfortable to wear with the head straps rather than the ear loops if you will be wearing them for more than a couple of hours at a time . You can make them completely washable in hot water depending on the materials that you have to work with.

These are not medical masks. They will not stop you from getting any virus. They are not intended for medical procedures. Your masks will not be FDA approved. They are designed to combat dust while cleaning, working, biking, hiking, traveling or smells when painting or crafting.

You will only need about 1 Fat Quarter per mask if using the same material for all three layers. This includes suggested items from home that can be used as well as a link to specialized materials that may be ordered. The pattern can be made with or without nose wires.

Please ask any questions prior to purchasing as returns on PDF patterns due to their digital nature. If you do not have a sewing machine, it is still possible to sew this by hand if necessary.

Beach Bag and Sunglasses Case!

Are you ready to hit the beach but you need something to hold all of your necessary items? Well you should make this Beach Bag with easy-to-customize pockets on the inside and outside. The drawstring top closes up tight to keep your items safely inside. Learn how to insert grommets, sewing with vinyl, making a tube shape, making a sturdy base, making your own custom-sized pockets among other sewing techniques.

When it is no longer beach season this bag makes a great project bag or laundry bag with a flat, sturdy bottom. This is a PDF sewing pattern, not the finished product. You can make three styles of glasses cases with this pattern. You can have Ruffled or pleated trim, Pockets, Reversible or Quilted styles and even button/flower embellishments. There are also three sizes: reading glasses, regular eyeglass/sun glass case, slightly larger quilted case. These cases are great for glasses, sunglasses, and rotary cutters. Store your sunnies in style! Add your own flair with a special button flower trim.

*Eye Glass/Sun glass/Readers/Reversible case measures 6 5/8" from bottom to ruffle trim x 3 3/8" wide
*Quilted glasses/Reversible glasses case measures 7 3/8" from bottom to ruffled trim x 3 3/8" wide
*Embellished Eye Glass/Sun glass/Hipster/Reversible case measures 7 3/8" from bottom to ruffled trim x 3 5/8" wide

These padded glasses cases sport ruffled/pleated trim, pocket for extra pair of glasses, clip on sunglasses, ID, cash, etc. 

The cases require only fat quarters for both outside/lining and scrap pieces for ruffles. They contain an inner-lining of cotton or bamboo batting to protect those glasses from bumps or scratches. You also get detailed instruction on making the button and fabric flower trim.
